The Veil of Ravenstadt

Elea Volterr, Nicolas Avenier, Sorin Avenier, and Levian Siegfried were closer than family. Growing up in a small mountain village, they spent their days exploring hidden paths, sharing dreams, and imagining what lay beyond the village’s unseen borders. Life felt simple, safe, and full of possibilities.

But everything changed the night Levian’s parents were killed.

The village offered no answers, only silence. Levian, overwhelmed with grief, began to question the strange curfews said to protect them. Why did the village enforce such rigid curfews? His sorrow turned into anger and threatened to tear their group apart. 

Sorin tried to hold the group together, stepping into the role of protector. He shielded his brother Nicolas while helping Levian carry the weight of his loss. But cracks were forming, and Elea could feel them growing wider.

She admired Sorin’s strength, but her heart ached for Levian’s pain and Nicolas’s distance. The village’s secrets loomed over them like a shadow, and Elea couldn’t shake the feeling that something terrible was coming.

The once-bright days of their youth were fading, replaced by whispers of danger. And the truth, whatever it was, felt closer than ever—waiting just beyond.
