Long Since The Eschaton
A downloadable game for Windows, macOS, and Linux
It’s been five years since the apocalypse started, the zombies are slowly decomposing, even new zombies don’t last due to the lack of food source. The last two humans on earth find themselves stumbling upon each other. While one struggles to keep herself alive, the other just wants to end it all.
Long Since the Eschaton follows Kirana, a medic who switched between one survivor group to another until she’s all that’s left. She met Gabe, a self-sustaining survivor who stayed at the same town since the beginning of the plague. Slowly but surely, the two bond and perhaps help each other cope.

Thanks for rating! ^^
I really enjoyed this game! You did an incredible job developing the characters and their distinct journeys of coming to terms with their trauma. really beautifully done, I am a sucker for an apocalypse love story and this was a really great one <3
Thank you for playing!!! So glad that you like their journey!
Wow... Just wow. I am a puddle of tears right now. This moved me deeper than I thought and made my heart aches as much as it healed something in me. Thank you for that. This was so so beautiful.
(The Little Prince is also my favorite book)
Thanks you for playing too, and I am glad you loved it!
Ok so- I do love the game so far, but does someone mind telling me how to access the save/load options in the game? It's not letting me go to the menu while playing- unless I'm misunderstanding something ofc
I'm using a Mac Air btw
It's right click on the mouse! ^^
TYSM, I OWE YOU MY LIFE ;-;
Really enjoyed your writing, it's beautiful and compelling as usual! I really felt a connection to Kirana and Gabriel and can't help but wish them all the happiness they deserve at the end of the world! Their bonding and light banter was really fun to read, and delivered even better with the stellar voice acting! Great job on this!
Thank you for playing and I am glad you like them both!!!
Oh my god this game was beautiful. The pacing for developing Kirana and Gabriels relationship was so well done, and having them slowly opened up to each other warmed my heart. It made the ending so much more worth it as we see them just start to get closer as the dialouge went on.
(SPOILERS)
While I can't relate to the extent of Kirana where she regrets leaving people to die, but I can very much relate to the feeling of leaving people behind out of fear of being hurt and to ensure that I stay safe, and I can very much relate to Gabriel having that fear of being alone
The art style is beautiful, and the dialouge was so beautifully written, where I could be laughing at their interactions one moment, crying because of how much they've been through, and smiling to how much they are starting to open up to each other.
Both romantic endings of staying on the farm or leaving to go find Kiranas parents were beautiful, I remember finishing both endings and just feeling so warm of them being able to help each other in the end and trusting to stay by each others side.
This was overall such a beautifully written game that just made me feel warm after reading this, and I am defintely going to come back and replay it to get that warm feeling again :)
Oh my, thanks so much for this detailed review!
The game is loosely based on a personal experience's survivor's guilt during c*v*d times as we lose people, disguised as a zombie apocalypse, where I met my husband and we went through our traumatic events together. I am a medical doc and there was an event where all the oxygen went out in my hospital and then 50 people died at the same time, I had to tell everyone their families died. Even tho it wasn't my fault I felt I was helpless. Kirana's nightmares was bit of based on mine.
I hope with this little story I can tell people that sometimes it won't always be bad!
Again, thanks for playing!
I can't even imagine how traumatizing it would be to tell 50 families that. I'm applying to medical school this year. I did feel like the credits "to all survivors' had more to do with COVID than the video game narrative, and this just confirmed it.
It really does, thank you for noticing it!
I love that you were able to incorporate your own story into this! I'm sorry you had to go through that, it really must've been a tough time, esp when dealing in the pandemic. But the fact you were able to make it out of it, and tell your story in such a beautiful way shows how strong you were able to come out of it, and make something truly remarkable from your experience, thank you for telling this story!
And thank you so much for playing! In the end the message was "hope" And even tho it is cheesy, I hope everyone still holds out hope no matter what their situation is
Oh this was so sweet. Voice acting is solid. I related to the frequent alarm the main character, an ex medical student, had about activities in a post apocalyptic world. The artwork for laying side by side and the non spicy affection was appreciated and Gabe was downright gorgeous. Demisexual representation was lovely. I also liked that there was more to the bad ends then just, "yer dead." Will recommend to others.
Thank you so much! I am so happy you enjoyed it and I am really aiming for a soft and gentle affection scenes, especially for the traumatic events Gabe went through made him approach romance very slowly as if he is afraid to lose anyone again. :''))
W game, I love this game so much. Thank you for taking your time to create this game!
Thank you so much!!!
Good game *thumbs up*
Now I wanna know what happens next after one of the romance endings T_T
Thank you so much! Well, they might... Repopulate earth????
Yeah that too but ok after I saw both romantic endings I imagine both endings together( can't explain here because of spoilers...)
Played through this and the writing was so good! I really liked slowly getting to know Kira and Gabe and the setting of a zombie (post-)apocalypse was a breath of fresh air.
Got all the endings but the first one I got (ending 4) was my favourite, a sort of bittersweet conclusion seemed fitting. Great job on the game, Azure! And everyone else on the team of course.
Thank you so much for playing this game! And I am glad you enjoyed it! :))
I died in the first playthrough. then got a nice goodbye end. [I need to figure out how to create saves now 🤦♀️]
Anyways I always did like the way you write @Azure. Ever since the doppelganger days.
it was a heartfelt story and goddamn I feel like the need to set up a self-sufficient backyard just in case a zombie apocalypse does befall the world.
the voice acting was amazing. they both sounded really nice and the way they carried the emotions was 💕.
loved the art too. reminded me of "the tyrant's sister" ✨.stunning.
